Caterer and Event Manager
I have been involved in the food industry since 1992.
My professional roles include chef, caterer, food consultant, food
stylist, lecturer and nutrition consultant. Places of work include
boardrooms, cafes, cafeterias, hospitals, restaurants, private
residences, private yachts, public & private venues. Countries
where I have worked include Australia (Melbourne & Sydney), Europe
(Spain, France, Switzerland) and the Caribbean (Mustique).
I am well versed in all aspects of event management from concept, design, catering, to logistics and execution.
During my six years in Europe (1999 - 2005), I worked exclusively for the top
end of the private market on luxury yachts and residences. I created
endless dinners and parties, from the more formal to the more casual,
from large scale to very intimate, from flamboyant to the very simple;
formal dining room dinners, ambient candle lit dinners by the pool, in
the garden, looking out to sea, lazy afternoon BBQs under the shade of
a straw hut by the beach...

Interior Decorator
With some tertiary studies in design, drafting, textiles (1st year Fine Art,
and 1st - 2nd year Consumer Textiles RMIT) and years of experience as
the project manager of large and small scale interior refurbishments of
luxury homes in Europe, I have broadened my professional experience to
include interior decoration .

House Manager
I have over 5 years experience as a house manager of properties in Spain, France, Switzerland and the Caribbean.
This diverse role vastly developed my culinary, creative, organisational and
managerial skills. I was responsible for the smooth running of a number
of houses, each of which ran like a boutique hotel.
My responsibilities included: project management (new works, renovations,
interior decorating, landscaping, maintenance), staffing (maids, food
assistants, butlers, gardeners, chauffeurs), catering, event
management, and office administration.
A thorough understanding of the specific property, the staff, and client
needs are required to maintain the immaculate appearance, and service
of a household. This formed the foundation of my approach, and allowed
me to successfully produce a high standard of operation for my employer
in Europe and the Caribbean.

Food and Interior Stylist
I commenced work as a freelance stylist in 1992.
Over the years I have worked with a number of photographers in both
Melbourne and Sydney on photography for use in packaging, brochures,
promotional posters and magazines.
I develop the look, theme, set, and food (if applicable) to best meet the
requirements of the marketing aim. My experience includes concept
development, set design, propping (source, selection, placement), food
design, preparation, and presentation.
I most enjoy the greater creative possibilities of editorial work, but am
also motivated by the restrictions and challenges of advertising.
